We'd like to express our deepest gratitude and appreciation to Liz Calder for her outstanding leadership and dedication as President of IIBA UK. Over seven years of volunteering with us, her contributions have propelled our chapter forward and helped foster a vibrant community. While we will miss her presence, we wish her all the best in her future endeavors.

🎉 A warm welcome to our new IIBA UK Chapter President, Christina Tan! 🎉

Zoom has reminded us that starting February 1, 2025, they will enforce a minimum software version. If you’re using an outdated version, you won’t be able to log in. You can watch this YouTube video on updating your Zoom settings.

According to Zoom, over 65% of attendees in 2024 Zoom meetings or webinars wouldn’t have been able to join with their current settings!

If your answer is “YES”, we’ve got exciting news!
We’re looking for volunteers to help develop the BA profession in the UK.

How to become a volunteer?
It’s simple! Just follow these 3 steps:
1️⃣  Register with IIBA (All volunteers must be IIBA Chapter members).
2️⃣ Sign a short confidentiality agreement. This ensures we handle sensitive information responsibly (e.g., membership data).
3️⃣ Email us your details, the project you’d like to join (or your new project idea), and the signed confidentiality agreement at Operations@uk.iiba.org

As we close the year and look ahead to 2025, let’s take a moment to reflect on some of the moments that made 2024 truly remarkable for IIBA UK Chapter. 🌟

From inspiring workshops, networking socials, and the annual BA Conference to thought-provoking talks by industry leaders, the launch of the BA Book Club, and the BA Survey, this year was filled with opportunities to learn, connect, and grow as a community.

🌟 A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated volunteer team for their incredible efforts and to all BA practitioners who joined us on this journey.

Thank you to all attendees of the 16th Annual Business Analysis Conference, which took place from the 16th to the 18th of September. With a remarkable turnout of 580 attendees from 33 countries, the event has once again affirmed its status as the global gathering for Business Analysts.

It was our pleasure to meet and greet some of our members in person and share Chapter’s news and information about the upcoming events.

Big round of applause goes out to all involved in the conference organization: AssistKD, BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT, IRM UK, IIBA UK, and the Conference Advisory Board, whose support played a pivotal role in making this event a success.
📢 We're thrilled to announce that two of our volunteers Mark Cross and Sinead Torley have been named finalists for the BA of the Year Award 2024! 🎉

This recognition is a testament to their hard work, passion, and outstanding contributions to the BA community. We couldn't be prouder to have them as part of our team, and we wish them the best of luck as they move forward in the competition!🎉
