Join us for a hands-on, BA-led exploration of AI in requirements elicitation: this virtual session gives business analysts a practical, honest look at where AI genuinely enhances elicitation and where your expertise remains irreplaceable.

(Virtual session) AI Insights: AI & Requirements Elicitation

A practical, BA-led exploration of AI across the elicitation techniques you already use

AI is finding its way into every part of business analysis  but elicitation is where the stakes are highest. It's where trust is built, needs are uncovered, and the wrong move costs you. This session cuts through the noise and gets specific: where does AI actually help, where does it fall short, and how do you stay in control throughout?

This session is designed for:

  • BAs who are actively using elicitation techniques and want to explore where AI could support their practice
  • BAs who are curious about responsible AI use and want a practical, grounded perspective
  • This is a peer learning space come ready to explore, share and question together

No prior knowledge, preparation, or specific tools are required.

What to expect:

This is not a one-way 'how-to' webinar. Instead, it's a structured, hands-on session built around real elicitation scenarios, led by Shobin Vincent. an experienced business analyst.

Together, we’ll explore:

  • How AI fits within a selection of core elicitation techniques including interviews, workshops, document analysis and more
  • Where AI can accelerate your work and where human judgement is non-negotiable
  • Responsible and ethical considerations for using AI in elicitation
  • Hands-on exercises using free, widely accessible AI tools
  • Open discussion to share experiences and perspectives across the group
You're welcome to contribute as much or as little as you like listening and observing is just as valid as taking part.

What you’ll take away:

By the end of the session, you’ll have:
  • A clear picture of where AI adds value across elicitation techniques and where it doesn't
  • Hands-on experience you can apply the very next day, using tools you already have access to
  • Confidence spotting AI limitations hallucinations, bias, missing context — before they become your problem
  • Fresh perspectives from peers navigating the same questions in their own BA practice
This event is brought to you by IIBA UK and is the second in a new series of AI-focused webinars, designed to support peer learning and shared exploration across the BA community.
