IIBA UK Mentoring Programme: Mentor registrations open on 2nd March 2026

Empower fellow business analysts on their development journey.

The IIBA UK Mentoring Programme offers experienced business analysts the opportunity to give back to the profession, share hard‑won insights, and help fellow practitioners grow with confidence.
 
As a mentor, you will play a vital role in shaping the development of mentees who are ready to learn, reflect, and take meaningful steps forward in their careers.

Investment (upon registration):

  • £59 for IIBA members 
  • £79 for non‑members
The registration fee will be fully refunded if we are unable to successfully match you to a mentee.
 
Time Zone: the programme sessions will run in GMT, and mentoring conversations will typically follow the same time‑zone arrangement. If you are based outside the UK, please consider whether you can attend meetings scheduled in GMT before submitting your application.

Mentor Eligibility Criteria

To ensure mentors can provide meaningful guidance, applicants must demonstrate a sound foundation of business analysis experience.
 
Professional experience requirements:
Mentors must have:
 
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a business analysis role, with demonstrable impact 
Confidence in sharing insights across a range of BA competencies, including (but not limited to): stakeholder engagement, requirements elicitation, process improvement.
 
Mentor Mindset: successful mentor typically demonstrate:
  • Willingness to support mentees with varying levels of experience, including those new to the profession.
  • Openness to providing guidance, encouragement, and constructive feedback.
  • Openness to learning, sharing and receiving constructive feedback.

Key dates for the 2026 Mentoring Programme Cohort:

  • 2nd Mar - 28th Mar: Registrations open for mentors and mentees
  • 30th Mar to 1st May: applicant matching and sign-up (onboarding); refund for applicants who were unsuccessful in matching
  • 7th May: Kick-off live session
  • May to Nov: Support sessions take place
  • Nov-2026: Mentorship Programme is completed.
