Privacy, data protection and security - what BAs really need to know!
As a Business Analysis professional, you are involved in the design of business software applications and business processes. There are many aspects to consider - one of them being data privacy. Businesses and other organisations need to be particularly vigilant with the personal data they process. There are many rules for collecting, storing, using, sharing, and deleting personal data.
If the organisation you work for handles personal data, then this webinar is for you. You will learn how the processing is carried out, which parties are involved and what their responsibilities are. You will also learn about the security standards IT teams are expected to provide in today's complex and volatile business landscape.
Different regions of the world enforce different privacy laws and regulations. The webinar will also give you some context around what these different laws and regulations mean and how they apply to different regions and data processing tasks. Our speakers will look closely at the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and how this applies to the personal data of citizens of the European Union, even if the data being used and stored is done so by a company in the UK.
Join us on the 22nd October at 6pm UK time, to learn what you should do to become compliant in these laws and regulations, in particular GDPR, what should you avoid doing and what preventative actions you can take in your business analysis work to address this increasingly important topic.
